Does anybody know when the 2016 Trek DS , Crossrip , FX etc. Will be on sale?
There seems to be a few models appearing online. Trek 8.6 DS - Peddler's Shop Pscycles.com 1907 Deptford Center Road Deptford, NJ 08096 856.228.7800 bicycle sales and service
Trek CrossRip LTD - Gregg's Cycles

The only reason I found this thread is because I've been searching nearly every day to see if Trek has issued new information about the 2016 lineup.
The 2016 Crossrip is not on Trek's website (from what I can tell), but it seems to be showing up in the dealer ordering system. I just ordered one last Thursday from my local bike shop. It showed as being in stock in the California and an East Coast distribution center. He said I should arrive in a week or so.

Great, bet you can't wait to get it.
Do you know the spec of the bike? Its not very clear from info online.
Is it the latest Tiagra 4700 crankset, and I presume 11 speed 105?
I like the look of the bike in the gloss black.

I'm pretty anxious to get it and start riding now that the weather is starting to warm up.
I'm not entirely sure. I, like you, figured they would upgrade it to the 11-speed 105. The only major difference I can find by comparing sites that are showing it online is the change from the brushed aluminum color to the gloss black. But there is a chance that the specs for the 2016 on all these sites are just placeholders until Trek publishes full specs.
The LTD not being available in black was the only complaint I could come up with regarding the bike. I was all set to buy a 2015, went to the shop, and was told that they could order a 2016... in black. I had no problem saying "yes", and figured that, at worst, it's on par with the 2015, but potentially could bring some upgrades (such as the 11-speed 105) with it. I'll post back here whenever it arrives and I can see the full spec sheet.

Typically, Interbike, the dealer's trade show (LV NV) is in the Fall that's where the Pre season 2016 orders are taken and the New Stuff shown.

Was looking at the 2016 Trek 720 disc as well, seems like a similar bike to the Crossrip.
Great. Let us know more when you get it.

I should have some pictures to post tomorrow. I'll throw some up tonight if it does get done before they close in an hour.

Probably not time for the discounts yet. If the 2015's are on the floor and the 2016's have to be special ordered still.
I thought they didn't release the new bikes until after the Trek convention.

Really? I had 15 but sold. I dont think difference between 15 and '16 is the saddle. Still same saddle....interesting!

Yes, my mistake. I misread the e-mail I got from the bike shop. She said the specs are the same except that it is a "newer version" of the saddle. So I assume it is the same Evoke1 Saddle that comes on a lot of their bikes.
