I love OVERKILL and this bike has that written all over it! Must be a blast to ride. Those are r770 Shimano shifters if i'm not mistaken... those are a dream to shift with.

Can you say theft magnet?

I think it would be fun to ride, but unless it sat in your cubicle/office I wouldn't consider a high bling bike for commuting.

Why not? go for it. I ride a Lynskey with DA and XTR components and a "flat" bar. I don't park it and if I do, I'm with someone and we take turns watching the bike to go inside for coffee/beer and sit outside with the bikes. If I have to lock up my bike, I take my giant, less bling, less theft magnet.

You need to update your profile to include your Lynskey.

That geometry looks pretty aggressive.

Looks like about a 4 inch drop from seat to bars the way he has it set up, and that is with a short, high angle stem - which would probably translate to very twitchy handling.

I would say this would only work if you were pretty short, so that the seat post would not be out so much, contributing to such an aggressive fit.

One thing to keep in mind when using a road frame for a flat-bar or hybrid build, is you want a larger frame than you would use with drop bars, as your hands are going to be several inches further back than they would be when resting on top of the hoods.
