Biggest tire that will fit Sirrus Carbon
Just curious, what's the largest tire a carbon Sirrus frame will take?

Why? Doesn't a bigger tire somewhat defeat the main purpose of the bike? What are you trying to accomplish???

It just occured to me there may a different answer here. I have tried three different 38 tires on my Jamis Tangier. One of them was very snug fitting and nicked the inside of the chainstay.
My point is the make and type of the tire may have a great deal to do with it. One 38 tire may fit while another may not and you might not know until you try a particular tire.

Thanks guys. Was considering all years. Thought that maybe a Sirrus Carbon with around 35c might be a good option since I'm looking for a compliant ride. I'm starting to think steel+suspension is something I should have looked at.

I have a '14 SirrusSirrus Carbon Expert with Schwalbe Ultremo ZX 28mm tires on it and it is plenty compliant. I also have the Specialized S Works CG-R seat post and that made a HUGE difference. I would recommend making a trip to your local Specialized Dealer and riding a bike with that seat post and you'll see what I mean.
