Okay, but is there much room left for an even larger size of tyre?

I don't know if you can go bigger than 30.

I'm looking for a bike computer and saw the Garmin Edge 25. Does anybody know if this computer works fine?

There is a review on Amazon that is not at all positive. Basically, one of the biggest issues IMHO, that Garmin significantly reduced the sampling rate resulting in a considerable lose of accuracy. Reviewer complained to Garmin, and Garmin basically said that it's for the casual rider and not meant to be accurate. In short, spend double to actually get the features we were selling on the 25 in the first place. I wasn't in love with Garmin in the first place, but this has really turned me off on them. If I were going with Garmin, I would probable go with the older 500. JMHO

I'm waiting for Lezyne - Engineered Design - Products - GPS - Super GPS to become available, which should be any time now. The fact that it will accept most any HRM or cadence monitor, and tie to my smartphone, and notify me and display text messages, is very appealing to me. My female counterpart will text me asking where I'm at, and I miss the text. Also when linked to my phone, she has the option of using this to see for herself where I am at, as it offers live tracking. I have seen the less expensive base model for sale, but don't know anyone who has bought it yet.

But the Lezyne has no 'course' navigation such as the Edge 25?

IMHO the lack of accuracy is a much bigger issue. The key ideal of GPS is "POSITION", and if Garmin has reduced that accuracy so that position and distance can't be trusted, then what are they good for then?

But beyond that, I personally rarely ride where I am not somewhat familiar. I also generally have a pretty good sense of direction, and so while driving, have set off many times just to see where a road lead to. In short, grew up driving by the seat of my pants. But I realize many people can't do this, or are not comfortable with doing this. However, in those circumstance where I do need map help, Google Maps on my smartphone comes through.

Is it true that the GPS bike computers doesn't need a wheel sensor? That's nice.

I like the Roubaix frame that's on the 13-14 sirrus carbon modells more. Those bikes are real flatbar road bikes. Well, I guess the 15-16 modells are just Hybrid's

That's kind of the point. The older carbon framed Sirrus bikes were just road bikes with flat bars, not hybrids.

The new models have purpose built hybrid bike geometry with a longer wheelbase and a more relaxed riding posture. It's a good improvement.

Absolutely right. The other advantage is that one can more easily make the current Sirrus frame fit a little more aggressively in terms of reach without sizing up. Best of both worlds.

I dont now how long Specialized has had the sirrus, maybe 15-20 years? But how many off these years has Sirrus had a Roubaix frame? Is it only the 13-14 modells?

The model name ('Sirrus') has been around a very long time. As a name for a flat-bar road bike ('hybrid') line, since at least 2002 or 2003. Over that period ('02 to present) there have been many iterations. In a few of those years, the top-end models had carbon frames. In addition my '10 Sirrus Comp, for example, has an E5 aluminum/carbon seat stays/carbon fork frameset that 'looks' like a Roubaix, but isn't. The geometry is very different. I think in 08 or 07 there were also a couple of full carbon framesets. Can't remember, and can't be bothered to look it up.

In 2013 and 2014 (and just possibly '12 -- again, can't be bothered to look) the Sirrus line was topped by one or more full-carbon bikes that were, literally, Roubaix framesets converted to flat bars.

Beginning 2015, Specialized (re)introduced a new dedicated (flat bar geometry) carbon frameset.

@CNS Christian, got my bike today. Very nice.

The only thing I don't like are the Axis 4.0 stickers. Every sticker is loose on the ends and two places in the middle. They don't stick anymore. Are you experience these things? I think I take them off.

I am glad that You are enjoying your new bike. The stickers seem to be in the right place on my bike.

Okay, thanks. I will ask my bikeshop if they can change the rims? It's a lot of money. It has to be perfect. I also have to go back to change the pedals for Boomslang paddles and change the Stix frontlight for a taillight. They sold me the wrong ones.

Beautiful bike, are those Axis 4.0's? If so how do you like the wheels? Thanks

I think I drove less than 1km. These are 4.0 and I don't know the difference with the 2.0. Is it only the weight?

I'm curious about the weight of the bike and I will check it tomorrow.

I believe its only weight, was curious if you noticed a difference. I think they are 400-500 grams lighter.

I found this:

The Axis 4.0 is a higher-end wheelset and it will have a deeper rim depth, which will make it more aero dynamic. It will also be a little stiffer and give a slightly better feel on the road.

Are those Axis wheels made for Specialized? Can't find specs go them on the net.

I belive they are made by DT swiss. I think the 2.0's are 1955 grams and the 4.0's were 1575 or so...but I cant remember where I read that

What a fantastic bike. You can feel that all your energy is converted in your bike and not into the road.
