Bobbin Brownie: 46cm or 52cm?

I am 5'6" and am strongly considering acquiring this bike wiggle.com | Bobbin Brownie Blossom Pink | Hybrid / City Bikes . I fall between the size guidelines for 46" frame with 26" wheels and 52" frame with 700c wheels-- which should I buy?

I think the inseam measurement is key here. Have you checked that?

I gotta ask... Have you looked into other bike brands? Both Giant and Specialized make bikes similar to this bike in roughly the same price range. I am sure other brands make similar bikes. Your LBS (local bike shop) will help you with the fit and they will assemble the bike for you.

I've looked at other brands, and they had less, I don't know, charm? This has a Dutch style frame but weighs 28lb. My local bike shop can assemble this for me, so no worries there. And my inseam is 29.5".

Ultimately, you and your LBS need to answer the question about frame size. However if you are 5'6 a "large" frame doesn't seem like a good fit to me.

If your inseam is 29.5 you fall CLEARLY in the 46 range.
