Need advice on pedal/parts upgrades

I have a 2015 cannondale quick 4. 27 speed, altus derailers, 32c tires with some gravel thread. Upgraded seat with the plastic composite pedals. I like the way it is but I feel I can still upgrade it. Dont want to spend a lot of money so I was thinking of getting 25 c tires when these are used up but I was thinking of getting those aluminum $30 flat pedals from amazon that alot of people ride on mountain bikes. Will I notice any difference in my ride and is it worth getting pedals that are not clipless (regular flat aluminum pedals)? What other recommendations do you guys have?

Sounds like you don't need to spend any money. Why not just ride it until you find something you don't like, then address that issue?

I bought similar pedals for my Trek FX 7.3: Wellgo C247 Bicycle Bike New Platform Alloy Pedals Anodized Purple MTB 9 16 | eBay

Not only are they super cute, they are super grippy compared to the stock pedals, and I'm glad I have them.

Why do you want to change pedals? what is the problem with your current ones? Maybe its just a case of "upgrade-itis"?

Those pedals work really well with five ten shoes. I'm not sure if you will notice any difference in riding quality, seeing that you ride a hybrid presumably for leisure and exercise, I would stick with what you have.

Have you considered clipless pedals and SPD shoes? They're not for everybody, but if your feet are slipping, they would definitely solve the problem.

I use Shimano Saint pedals and my feet do not slip at all while wearing running shoes. They are a big improvement over the stock plastic that came installed on my bike.

I broke a finger riding Saints, they were never in the right position on the trails. I switched to pin type race affects, but thats more money than the OP wants to spend. But then they are much better than those $30 mountain bike pedals.

A platform pedal like the MKS Grip King could be a real help. However if your feet slip when changing gears I think you need more time improving your riding technique, learning how to anticipate gear changes and getting used to your bike.
