Hi All,
I just replaced the chain and cassette on my 2012 Trek 7.4FX. They were the "originals" on my bike, and at the time of this change the bike had close to 11000 miles.
I run the chain backwards through a clean cloth after every other ride, and once per week run it through a grunge brush to try to get out any grit in the chain. Similarly, I use the other end of the grunge brush to clean between the cassette gears.
So far so good!
Happy and safe riding to all.
Best regards
