Thanks! It's a 60cm frame. Honestly, at this point I could see myself on a 62, but I didn't know for sure when I was buying, so I went with the middle ground. I'm 6'2" or so but I'm more limb than torso... Hence the setback seatpost. It made all the difference in the world!

My new FX 7.7 came in today. Unfortunately it is storming outside with lightning and hail, just my luck. Here is a pic:

I can't wait to take a ride!

I feel for you guys. NYC had our second pretty mild winter in a row and now it's 9:30 at night and the temp is a balmy 75F. I don't know what happened to the temperamental, snow-and-muck-laden city I used to know.

I bet it did make a difference, nothing worse than bike that does not fit good.

Python Lowracer - PVC Pipe & Duct Tape

PVC pipe and duct tape has so much potential for the framework of a recumbent or velomobile. PVC pipe can be bent and shaped with a heat gun. The possibilities are endless.

Crappy picture quality, but still beautiful I want to put fenders on it but the fender I originally got for my Coda Sport doesn't fit without having to saw off the piece that connects to the bike...

Hi all,

This is my hybrid commuter.
Stevens 5x lite disc. brandspanking new. My first new bike. evar!

Just changed the Schwalbe CX Comp for some Continental Sport CONTACT in 37-622, with some CoOnti Cross 28 tubes. Will pick up some speed with that. Really like blasting by the racers, or at least keeping up.

I am considering other bars, i used to commute on my singlespeed with drop bars and i miss the drop bar hand options.
i have some options i am considering, any body got some advice for me?
Origin8 drop bar ends
Salsa woodchipper (if the straight part of the drop is long enough to keep my original controls)
Misfit Psycles FME bar

Regards,
Thanas

OK, but I am probably not much competition, but I'll give it all I got!

Today I rode my new bike 40 miles, mostly in the rain, she got real dirty. It was awesome though.

I have made a few upgrades so far. I got some Kool Stop brake pads, some GP4000s tires (25mm), a Fizik Aliante saddle, a Fizik saddle bag, a couple of bottle cages, a pair of MKS platform pedals, and a Lezyne hand pump strapped to the frame. I also added front and rear lights, but I took them off today because of the rain.

Here is a pic from a spot I took a break at today:

So far I am really loving the 7.7, exactly what I was looking for in a bike.

On a side note, I witnessed 3 other riders wipe it today on the slick concrete. A few years ago I did the same thing and ended up with a broken wrist, so now I take it easy around corners in the rain. But with those GP4000s tires, I probably don't have to, those things grip!

Hey guys new here.

Here's my Nishiki A-Line hybrid... can't seem to find very much info about it.

First pic is of when I first bought it.

Bottom three are current. Got a new stem, trimmed the handlebars and got some road tires. I think I may take the rack off to make it a bit lighter... don't ever use it.

That was a nice ride, have been waiting for some feed back on your new bike. Anything you would change on yours that you haven't already ? Took mine for a ride today, had a nasty head wind. Probably going to go again just before dark, and am thinking about trying some 32's on my other wheel set.

Thanks for reply. Deore rear and front derailleur, Alivio shifters, Tektro R720 v-break set (it's R570 only in front, in photos), Cerchi Nisi T-Due rims, Guizzo stem, noname touring bar with tape, Carraro carbon fork, 6061 alu. frame, what I can tell at once.

Just did some research. It appears that Nishiki is only sold at Dick's Sporting Goods (where I bought it) I feel like this is their house (Dick's) brand and maybe I should have gone with something else. The bike looks fab and rides well... so maybe I'm just getting bent up over brand names. It was only $400 and I'm a poor college student just really getting into biking, perhaps I'll just tell myself this was a good starter.

Edit: I've had it for a month with no probs other than the breaks needing to be readjusted and the rack needing to be tightened a bit. Hmmm not gonna let this bother me too much - since I do love the bike and it came with the fenders/rack.
