Thanks, was an early Saturday morning Craigslist find, still had the original tires on it. The chain was at the 75% wear mark, so I bought it. Changed the tires, seat, and the handle bar stem. Not sure I want to keep it though, it's a 21 1/2 " frame, little big for me.

One year and 6000 miles later. It's still mostly a 1990 Univega Via Carisma.

Sorry, I don't really have any good pics of it. It's my buddies GT Avalanche 3.0. It's a good looking bike.

Returned to flat pedals... I really like SPD pedals and how they perform but I can not be every time in SPD shoes (this is my only bike and I use it for every kind of riding - to pub or to trail or to business meeting).

Combined pedals such as m324 Shimano and similar where not an option ...adapters for eggbeaters are to damn expensive.

So I ran on these in LBS, liked them and bought them - Exustar e-pb525, seald bearing, removable pins, 360 grams per pair.

Also ordered red pins to mach the rest of the bike...

Those pedals are nice but be very careful. Your shins will thank you for it.
