Had major trouble deciding between the Trek 7300 and 7.5fx....so scooped them both up and this nifty rack for the garage.
so far, a nice 1, 2 combo!!!

Very nice indeed! You must be single, or have a very understanding spouse; my wife would never let me come home with two new bikes.

Finally finished with my drop bar conversion. The only things I didn't change were the front derailleur, fork, stem, headset, and seatpost clamp. A little overboard, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

good job with the drop bars, however, I personally like to run the housings from my barcon shifters completely under the tape
and might I suggest some sort of barrel adjusters at the cable stops. can't wait for things to cool off so I can rebuild a couple of bikes with barcons.

I just sold little red to a local college girl to whom it was a much better fit.
one last set of pictures in its final incarnation as I sold it... I only had this bike for a few months, but I loved how it rode in spite of being too small for me.

(a 1998 diamondback frame, with 700x40c michelin city tires, and an assortment of recycled and new components)

1980'sh Shogun Ground Breaker.

I think it was marketed as a MTB. Hand welded TIG . Great bike, will be used for commuting, touring and all round riding. Has 700x28 Continentals . When I first picked it up it had flat bars with dual thumb shifters, a one piece steel triple and a ripped saddle.

I put on Shimano 105 brifters, 52/42/30 triple and a Brooks B-15 Saddle. Still not done tinkering.

Not bad for a FREE bike. I had the other stuff in my recycled parts bin.

My hybrid

To all intents and purposes this is a flat bar road bike so I guess that makes it a hybrid.

Those fenders are interesting - what brand/model are they?

I couldn't be happier with mine! In case you ever wondered, the Valencia makes for a totally capable tourer in addition to a hybrid.

Indeed there are four! The seatpost-mount cage was something I saw in the roadie section of the LBS and had to have. My bike's frame shape doesn't cater to larger bottles well (a pain to get in and out of the cage while riding) so I got this to increase the water capacity and make access to the bottles easy while riding. Very pleased with how it worked.

I thought so - I remember seeing the Harbour Centre Tower as a kid. Its profile is unmistakable and a true testament to 1970's architecture.

Paleeeasse... adjust the angle on those bar ends, you'll do yourself a mischief.

If you have them pointed up for a more upright riding position, then I'd suggest that you look for some riser bars to correct that.

Or, perhaps, with all that seatpost showing and the stem standing straight up, you were sold the wrong size bike. Maybe even 2 sizes too small.

I see this configuration all the time where I live in Florida. Mostly people put on bar-ends at very high angles for beach cruising at very slow speeds, not at all for any performance reason.
Some folks just like to sit straight upright on a bike when they ride and near vertical bar-ends accommodate that. Most of us may not like or agree with it, but then we ride with the config's we have cuz that's how we like it. The ride we like is what it's all about, right?
