I guess this is my vintage fetish side shining though "but"
I found this in a second hand machinery yard, now I dont no the time hybrids first came about but this must be pretty close.
The frame is fully lugged with Tange tubing frame and fork and full Suntour groupo. Its fun to ride because it pulls mono's like no tomorrow. Just needs a good clean.

Seems like they finally uploaded the pictures of the TT race I took my hybrid to.
Why it took these people nearly two months remains a mistery to me.
This picture was taken in one of the many tight turns, hence the upright position on the flatbar.
Pitty they didn't take pictures on the long straight stretches too.
This'll probably be the first and last TT on my hybrid, for obvious reasons ... but it was fun

Super jealous of all the awesome bikes in this thread! I'm just getting into cycling and I want to play show and tell too now.
Here is my 1996 (I think) Trek 930 Singletrak converted to single speed with Bontrager road tires on it. Will be putting studded tires on it for use this winter.
And here is my 2010 Cadillac..I mean Raleigh Route 4.0 Yes the same Titec Jones Style Hbars on both bikes. I had all kinds of hand numbness issues when I first started riding and when I found a set up that worked for me I had to have it on both bikes. Plus I like the way they look
Now I've got my Hybrid/Trail bike and my Hybrid/Commuter, I just need to get me a road bike (will be getting one before next spring) and I'll be all set!

It's hard to get good photo's of the bike, it always comes out looking washed out.
I think i'm about done fiddling with it for the time being. I need to get a saddlebag and i'd love to swap out the 700x35's for 700x28's but other than that i'm real happy with it. Just need to work on the motor now lol.

Bike ≠ Car ≠ Ped.
Wait, you're Belgian... never mind, I'll just sit back down... I'm, uh, sick with strep and have the runs, so I can't race...

Seriously though it sucks being belgian in this regard ... the competition is huge.
To be Belgian champion Time Trial, for instance, I have to beat Stijn Devolder ... who averages 49km/h on a 40k TT
Even to be regional champion in the Elite without contract division I'm unlucky that the Belgian champion in that category lives in my region and averages 47km/h ... for a non pro
Guess I'll have to stick to recreational races for a looong time

A cool picture I've seen a few times on the internet but I have no idea where it came from or the story behind it. Looks quite old. I was just poking fun at AdelaaR for sitting up in the corner when the cameraman took his picture.
(I must admit the picture of AdelaaR is pretty cool too. )

Heh thanks ... Everyone sat up in those turns ... they were quite nasty 90 degree turns and the road crumbled at the sides with loose dirt next to it.
One of the guys in the TT actually missed a turn and ended up in the fields

Loose dirt!? Oh my!! Haha, they don't make bike riders like they used to I guess.
By the way...
The top Belgian finisher in the 2010 UCI World Championships TT was 35th. USA had one rider in the top 10 and two in the top 25.
In last three Olympics, American men won one gold and three bronze medals in the Time Trial.
A USA rider won bronze in the first Olympic Time Trial in 1912 too. The only medal for a Belgian man in the Olympic TT was a silver in 1924.

No let's just skip this nonsense (I started it sorry) and get back to the posting of pictures.

Nice Sirrus! What saddle is that?
No, my friend Barracks set you up.
Let's face it. Nobody's going to scroll through 108 pages of pictures of hybrids. The picture I posted of my bike on page one still gets as many views as any picture I've posted on BikeForums, and I've posted a lot! (In Hybrids, Northeast and Utility Bike). New people look at the first few pages.
Some of the pictures I posted on this thread were removed by moderators for political content (not recently). I received a private message that said nice pictures, but...
You know I'm a proud American but I'm just joking around and I think Belgians are swell too. Hey you guys make the best waffles in the world. You should be proud of that!
In my opinion an occasional thread drift is OK.

I'm glad I can finally put a pic of my bike up: Fuji Absolute S, 23" (struggled to find a big enough bike in Korea). After some tweeking, it now rides so well. I'm loving my new hobby... which feels like my old hobby in my youth.
This pic also shows in the top right corner the river bike path I'm riding most days... It's a really nice ride save for some big dragonflies at dusk. I've now come to understand why cyclist wear glasses.

I just got my new saddle in the mail, and finally feel like maybe the bike is worth showing(off). My roommate doesn't think the brown was a good call, but i really wanted to bring out the gold fleck in the black paint. Really wish I could go try it out, but it's dark and I have no headlight. I'll get some better pics up after I take it to the park
