The bike lock goes with the seatpost clamp pretty well.

Enjoy the ride!

I know your bike is alloy, but if water gets down there with salt / road grime it might cause some problems down in the BB area. The actual BB is most probably sealed but these days many bikes don't have a drainage hole down there.

I'm going to start commuting soon, so I am trying as hard as I can to prepare my bike! I just ordered a Nashbar rack, Nashbar waterproof panniers ($48) and a Nashbar light.

I didn't know what Nashbar was, so just now I searched it. Did you get your 20% today only? lol

Bedankt, AdelaaR. No special reason except they were on sale and they offer more hand positions. They DO look kind of long, though.

I just took the tape off the front v-brake, seat tube, part of the downtube above the chainrings, and the seatstays.

It remains on the chainstays, rims, fork, front hub, and the downtube near the headtube.

Like the colour combo. I tried yellow on my bike when I got it, but it looked terrible. Maybe because your frame is dark gray (??) and mine is black. I don't know but yours is great.

I liked it on the v-brake. Why did you take it off, did you think it looked messy? If you want, you could tone down the impact by putting some silver reflective tape on the polished alloy bits. By the way, a knog light or similar in the back of your helmet and some reflective tape on your helmet also gives some peace of mind at night. (well for me anyway)

edit I just noticed you don't have much polished alloy, maybe just your levers.

Thanks. It looked bad until I changed the bottle cages from black to white. My eyes needed something else to focus on besides the yellow fenders.
