My new 64cm baby....... I know, I know, some will accuse me of shilling for Bikes Direct. I've read all of the threads. Since my father taught me to fix my own flats as a boy, for which I am grateful, I've been working on my own bikes. Assembly and adjustment didn't intimidate me. The only thing that gave me some trouble was the rear derailleur. The wheels came perfectly tensioned and trued. Even the brakes were properly adjusted. It is light and fast and silky smooth. I couldn't be happier with it.

Regardless, I would go with mavic open pro rims if you want to go for speed on the road only, or a set of Nukeproof 650B (go wide) and hit the trails.

Thanks CS - I use the less-powerful Cateye for lighting up the road nearer to me (or sometimes as a blinky) and the Sigma Roadster (which has a very wide beam) for illuminating more distant terrain. The setup works well for me.

That sounds like a good approach, I might do that myself at some point.

Have someone else post it I guess. I can copy and paste but on a fresh post it always shows as a thumbnail. Nice bike and great shot.

Been lurking for a while so here goes my 1st post. Went today to my local bike path, only did 6 miles because it started raining pretty bad so had to leave early. It's been over a decade since i had a bike so i'm basically a beginner, here is my 2013 Diamondback Insight 1, this will be my companion
And this is my GF's 2013 Diamondback Edgewood, sorry for the blurry pic, took my digital camera with me thinking i would get better pics, seems i am so used to camera phones nowadays that i messed up the focus lol.
