What kind of handlebars for your hybrid?

Wondering what kind of handlebars are you guys using for your hybrid. Would like to upgrade but I dont see alot of options. Could I go with mountain bike bars or no?

There are a lot of options out there for choices. You can choose various mountain bike bars, Jones bars, or essentially any kind of multi position bars.

Examples: https://surlybikes.com/parts/handlebars

https://sqlab-usa.com/collections/handlebars

I have been using this for my hybrid/gravel bikes this past few years to: https://sqlab-usa.com/collections/ha...-mtb-handlebar

Don't forget, you can also get bar ends or inner bars to give more positions for your hands.

I appreciate the response, I currently have bar ends on right now. Just prefer a little wider bars, as I am coming from a mountain bike.

EDIT: Ok, after rereading the question properly...I don't have that answer for you. Too many people get what fits them the best. And rightly so.

Check out some YouTube video's. There are many that goes into a nice detail on this subject.

I like this shop and their video's:

Another one of many out there explaining:

So my current parts hybrid is running Surly Moloko bars but I think my favorites are the Koga Denham or because we are in 'Murica and Koga gave us the finger and won't sell their lovely bars here the Velo Orange Crazy Bars (v2) are pretty darn close with some upsides like the slight rise to them and downsides like the "horns" being a bit shorter *would rather longer and be able to cut down). I have all three of these bars I have ridden them all though the new Crazy Bars the least and I think the Denham's are my favorite but I don't dislike the Moloko bars they are just a bit heavy but the bag is quite nice and it is a different feel and ride quality and different grip areas.

You can use whatever bars you want provided your shift and brake gubbins fit and you have the right clamp diameter for those bars on your stem. Also some bars might require a different stem length to be comfortable like the Molokos which needed a shorter stem to work as the bars are extended forward a bit.

Standard flat bars are boring and great for a mountain bike for actual mountain biking but I like something with more hand positions and a nice sweep back for everything else that isn't road.

Raceface Turbine with 3/4" rise with approx 40mm removed from each end - much better hand position and lighter than the original flat bars.

have low rise bars on a couple of bikes - including mrs t2p Trek and a Cannondale CX1 - and flat bar on some bikes including the Cannondale Quick Disc 1

( pictured above )

the bar on the Trek is an old Easton EC90 carbon bar (approx 640 mm)

the bar on the CX1 is a Cannondale C1 carbon bar (cut to approx 685 mm from 780 mm ? )

the bar on the Quick Disc 1 is an Enve carbon bar ( approx 640 mm )

also have a bunch of other bars in ‘inventory’ - including Enve RSR low rise, FSA K Force, Ritchey Superlogic, Renthal Fat Bar … etc
