The Greeway is paved and runs for miles through the major creek drainages throughout the city, and about three quarters of a mile long is a wooden boardwalk over a swampy wetlands area that is pretty cool, but paved is where it's at for a hybrid.

I wouldn't get too agressive off road with it though, or you might have to deal with some pinch flats or wheels getting out of true.

The gearing and the 700 X 32's can handle some hills and some bumps if you watch your line, but it's better to save the tough trails for the real mountain bikes.

I've got 222 miles on this bike as of today and it's just now broken in. I went over it the other day and tuned it up and she sure rides good, and shifts smooth.

It's a great bike for the money!
Have you ridden any of the other green way trails? That's the only one that I've done but plan to do them all when time permits.

LOL! That's one of the videos that convinced me to buy the Trailway. Yes, he was all smiles on the ride today.

I've ridden Leon Creek from Bandera mainland trailhead to 1604, and then back down to 410 near the Via trailhead and aback up to mainland, and it was a good 20+ mile ride, and it's a little more hilly than the Salado Greenway, which is a pretty good workout if you go non-stop which I did.

I've also ridden the Medina River Trail, and it's a little different from the others and it has it's hills and flats also which makes it fun.

I'm waiting for them to finish the Mission Trails project as that is closer to my home so I can be on it in just minutes from my house, and by the looks of the work being done, it will be really nice when it's finished.

You'll then be able to ride along the San Antonio River from the Alamo, to Mission Concepcion, then to Mission San Jose, then down to Mission Espada, and circle back around and pass by Mission San Juan on the way back to complete the loop of about 26 miles.

Not sure how high the climb was, but we were up there!

I found my 15yr old bottle of Rain-x (recommended by gopro) and decided to try it out.

another short ride today though there were longer ones prior.

you all arent reporting so im double posting i guess.... sorry?

7.8 cold and wet miles, over the bridge, once round wards island, detour to astoria park, and ralph demarco park on the way home....

    I shot 12 videos totalling 23mins.

here are some clips for the curious.

    From yesterday....

20 miles to, in, and around, Corona Park.

I'm trying different styles of shooting.

Most of my videos from this ride are under 30 seconds.

This morning took a short ride to San Pedro Park/Springs.

With the rain the springs are flowing.

Some star shaped thing, looked old.

Afternoon my son and I hit the Salado creek greenway. The trail had water and debris on it in two places.

Had to cut Salado creek ride short but 15 miles total today.

Nice pictures and it was a beautiful day. I rode only eight miles today around the neighborhood, but that was welcome after the nasty weather we've had the last few days.

That boardwalk has a couple of bad areas that will need to be reworked. It's a cool boardwalk but I think they could have done a better job with some concrete that would be less prone to flood damage than a wooden walkway, but what do I know.

I'd sure like to do the Mission trails after the construction is finished, and that would make for some really fantastic photo ops!

Thanks for posting, but now I feel like I missed out! LOL!

Yes, nice day to be out. Worst spot was under train bridge had to portage up the embankment, forgot to take pictures of that. One good flood and the boardwalk will be gone and will need to be rebuilt. X2 on Mission trail.

    It's a blast!

I just wish I had the improved hero 2 instead of the original hero, considering it was a gift, I'm not complaining.

One nice thing is, if I ever want to upgrade the camera I already have the case, the mounts, and the accessories, so I would only pay the cost of the new camera alone....

Leon creek greenway, started at 1604 and made it to Bandera rd bridge. Saw some deer a long the trail and had a slow leak in back tire that need to be re-filled a couple of time. All in all a great day!

giantcfr1-someday i will ride in Japan and go to the places you post..those temples are amazing!
Today, my Trek DS 8.4 took me to Turnbull Canyon. The climb wasn't very steep, but it was a lot of climbing to the water tower. I had to rest a couple of times. I definitely need to ride way more to get my lungs into better shape. ANyway, here are a few pics.
This is the way i took to the top.

Here is the Tower..pretty knarly with all the tagging.

My Trek Dualsport 8.4 still taking me everywhere!

We sure can see a lot up here.
