Yea pretty shaky, he is holding the camera with one hand and trying to work the zoom button also. You can not tell from the video, but
it is also a light rain, and he is covering the camera with his other hand. We will work on video quality, thanks for the tip. : ) Richard

I took the more technical choice down the creek.

Momentum is our friend as with enough of it you will roll over and through things that will stall you at low speeds.

And the we can talk about doing ten foot drops...
Thats what caused the wobble, my son took the easier way down, notice how he bumps
on his mountain bike when he hits the rocks going up hill...
My route was much
more technical, I had about 6 inches off smooth surface to make the decent. The video is
not showing the terrain very well. It was rough... Richard

After coming home from work at 16:30, I rode out with my wife and baby on a trip to Geraardsbergen.
There we ate some nice kebab with fries on the bench at the city hall in the square.

We did about 15 miles in total at an average of about 11 mph, which is great for my wife as she just started cycling

Hybrid bike ride !

Pictures are worth a thousand words.. Todays bike ride, and trail hiking .
...
...
...
...My son
took a nice spill, but no damage to him or the bike, hope you enjoy the videos.
Tried to work on the camera shots better, it is only a cheap Kodak c-180. But was a
AWESOME afternoon of bike riding. Close to a 4 hour trip, average road ride home
with my son drafting me 16 MPH, the low numbers I post on the average speed
thread always include pushing time I'm a stronger rider than I let on to be...
Hybrids are the best... Richard

I did my usual weekend run today of 26 miles out some county roads with a few hills and back along the fairly flat state bike trail, 15 mph average. With three weekday morning rides of 16 miles each I'm up to 74 miles for the week and after tommorrow will have my 100.

Nice 23 Mile spin around a couple of parks and the roads in between, missed most of the traffic. Got avg to 16 mph. Now it's time to clean the garage to park the bike in. Stuff *everywhere*

Went out in bad windy weather to do a little swimbikeathlon (I had to invent a word for it since I don't think there is one for it yet).

My wife came over (by car sheesh) with our 7 months old baby and he had a load of fun in the pool

My hybrid took me to farmer's market today. She also took advantage of a free bike clinic, where she shamelessly got her gears and brake pads adjusted.

My hybrid got me home and back from the car dealership (~14 miles) while my car was being serviced. The service guy looked a little surprised when I pulled my bike out of the car after checking in for my service appointment. It sure beat waiting for the dealer shuttle to take me home.

Rode 33 miles out to Brazos Bend state park turnoff today, then turned around and after 11-12 miles going back I arrived at the town of Rosharon where I called for a pickup. By that time the heat was so bad (heat index of 105-110) it felt like riding in an oven and I did not look forward to another 20 miles. Total distance ridden was 44.19 miles. Best part of the ride: discovering the Rosharon post office is open all the time and air conditioned inside. Great place to take a rest stop although there is no water available there.

referee54 raced his hybrid today. Did you?

Congrats, ref! Do the artificial knees give you an unfair advantage?

According to the bill from the insurance co., my knees cost $86,000 after everything was said and done. I guess I am not the $6,000,000 Man. Darn.

I went for a nice 10 mile jaunt on my nearby section of Nashville's greenway. In my part of town, the greenway is essentially a paved section of the levee that separates the Cumberland River from downtown. Hard to believe it was all underwater a scant 2 months ago. "Nature will find a way" indeed

Mine took me downtown to a pub last evening, probably 8-10 mile round trip? Great night for a ride, met some buddies, had beer & appetizers and a nice ride home.

Did a 6 mile ride in a torrential downpour. Didn't originally intend the ride to be that short or in too bad of rain but had to cut it short...

Had a blast in the rain though!

My hybrid bike took me for 30.4 miles through the following: Palo bay-lands, mountain view ,Los altos and up foothill Expwy. that was a interesting trip. this is the first time i
went thirty miles, my legs are going to be sore in the morning.

Does any one live near Palo Alto? (with in 10-20 miles of it) I would like to ride with other cyclists. how should i introduce myself? , and get to ride with others more often?
