I can't wait for it to cool off enough for long rides here. Maybe by next weekend. Still skirting 100 here.
Cool shot.

It's was 68 with 20 kt N wind @ noon. A Front moved through in the early AM. I jumped on the my bike here at my work in LA and almost came back to the boat for a sweatshirt. So used to riding in the high humidity of the 90's....little shocking with that drastic of swing in temps.

22 miles today.

Astoria, Triboro Bridge, East river esplanade, Central Park loop, Queensboro Bridge, Astoria

No filming or shooting, I just wanted to enjoy the ride with a little music.

I've created a calendar from my favorite photographs and I have sample in hand today!

I will post promo shots in the near future.

This morning I rode from my home in Monroe Twp,NJ, through Cranbury and Plainsboro and then back via a different route. Ride was exactly 12 miles with a great deal of wind on the outbound leg. Took me 1 hour exactly and I was quite pleased.

It's so good to be back in to it again!
Best regards

25 miles with a stop at the LBS to have my new Kool Stop dual compound pads on the rear "toe'd in a bit" because of a "intermitent" squank! Then a nice ride to Hippyville, (ok, it's really Manitou Springs, CO.) and back home!

Got a day off in the week yesterday, and had a few hours on the Withlacoochie Trail. We rode from Inverness to the Northern Terminus at Dunnellon, and back. A round trip of 32 miles after a couple of small detours in Inverness at the end. The pic is from the trestle bridge over Lake Henderson on our way back.

just shy of 30 miles today.

Triboro bridge, east river esplanade, central park loop, triboro bridge.

Still not used to the mileage after such a long forced break off the bike.

I'm not used to feeling wiped after 30 miles, it's amazing how much stamina you can lose in such a short time.

No pics or video, I just wanted to enjoy the ride.

Today was my last ride for the next 8 to 12 months which is unfortunate to me because this is my favorite thread. I'll still be looking in though so keep me occupied with good posts!
It was a perfect spring day for it and took my time savoring it riding one of my roadbikes so just one nice picture to show.

Actually yesterday, but a bunch of us rode a 11 mile, each way, stretch of the D&R Canal trail from Washington Crossing, NJ to Stockton, NJ. Had lunch in Lambertville, right across the river from New Hope, PA, and rode back. A nice 22 mile ride and great day.
Best regards

Today I rode, for the first time, the northern section of the Henry Hudson trail.
This leg runs from Matawan to Atlantic Highlands,NJ.
Around 20 miles round trip. This paved path has large areas that are treed, but while that helped in terms of reducing wind resistance (it was very breezy today), the ride was very bumpy because of tree roots lofting up the macadam.
I will not ride this again.
Best regards

Like you, I did the d&r canal this morning but further east. South Bound Brook to Approx Griggstown for about 20 miles round trip. Did Blackwells Mills to Carnegie Lake last week for about 28 miles.

ThecHenry Hudson is one of my favorites but I agree about the blacktop rooting up in spots. It can be tough with a rigid fork hybrid but I do a good job avoiding them without killing myself. I start at Keansburg HS and take it out to the bayshore trail and over the bridge to the Sandy Hook lighthouse for about 30-34 miles round trip. Love it. Great views and love being by the ocean. Can be windy, cold, and raw if you pick the wrong day though.

I did a 21 mile ride on the local MUP today- the wind was gusting up to 25-30 MPH, it was like dragging a parachute behind me.

25 miles on blustry fall day, here in Colorado Springs with the wife! Decided to put the, "trekking bars" back on the Allegro 1 after the ride. I'm keeping the straight bars on the Coda Sport as I use that as my "utility/dirt path" bike, (has cyclo-cross tires). I thought the "long bar ends" would be enough hand movement but for road riding the "trekking, (butterfly) bars", are just 1.5 steps up in comfort.
