My BRC Ricochet was a smoking good deal for $50.00 as it was pretty much mint... I have swapped in some NOS LX STIs and it now has some primo rubber in those Continentals.

It is a pretty nice beater and the Ritchey cross tyres I took off will go on a fixed wheelset I plan to run on my beater fixed road bike so it will be better equipped for winter.

Sanibel Island Helipad. Most of the above ground scenes in George Romero's Day of the Dead were filmed at this location in 1984.

Soo... I figured this thread needs more loving this winter season. Luckily for me, yesterday was a great 60 degree weather in the east coast. With the snow melting and everything. I took my chance (despite my bad back from an accident to cross the George Washington Bridge connecting New York City and Fort Lee, NJ. While in NJ, I filtered and failed resulting to my bike and my right side being muddy.

I ended up emptying my 1 liter water pack... I was 4 miles away... but then I said to myself. I shouldn't give up.

On top of Hudson River

I got slightly lost, but I still got to the Hudson River Greenway of NYC

My back was aching and my legs were cramping. I haven't biked much but I persevered just because I loved riding. Well, on the train and light rail ride home, I guess it's just worth showing to people how NYC looks from across the river.

Just got off the work in time for the big double celebration on the beach.....I live nearly on the eastern & central time line here in Mexico Beach...they are having a big party right on it tonight! They actually have a trolley that will pick you up after celebrating New Years in the Eastern Time zone and then taking you to another Bar in the Central time Zone to celebrate again. But this will be be the 1st time I've seen a party right on the line!

Here's a guy sleeping on the beach waiting for it!

Not yet, I think I'm too slow for KOMs haha I mainly use the app to keep track of distance and see segments. Maybe in the future I'll get some KOMs

I took my shivering bike from cold garage to my living room. I replaced all gear and brake cables, new cassette, new derailer, new chain, new grips, new brakes. Took bb and crankset apart, cleaned everything, oiled, then I kissed my Specialized and started praying for warm weather lol
The best part was saving around $250 on service and difference in parts prices between my crappy bike store and online place.

Took the kids out for a ride along a local river path. Then finished it up with a stop for some snacks at the local bakery.

Too bad Mt. Rainier was washed out in first and third photos

What kind of trailer are you using? I'm in the market for one, even though my daughter likely won't be big enough to use it this year. Looking for one that converts to a jogger so I can take her on the trails later this summer, then get her out on my bike next spring. I don't know if yours converts, but I really like the looks of it.

Its a several year old Kidarooz trailer. It does have a removable handle and the hitch arm comes off and a front wheel attaches. In stroller mode tho it's not a jogger since the front wheel swivels. Most of the trailers that can be used as a jogger have a fixed front wheel for straight tracking while running. I picked this trailer up on Craigslist for cheap several years ago. Fits my two and four year old just fine. Also has a large space behind seats for cargo.

The trail runs for 15 miles one way. All paved rails to trail. Its its very scenic and one of my favorite trails to ride.
