For Luddite - Grip Hand Positions on ERGON GC3-Large grips
Luddite was asking for these. They are on Ergon GC3-Large grips with bar ends. These are the three alternate hand positions I use, besides being on the palm pads themselves.
This to me is like the road bike position of "riding on the hoods" It's very comfortable.
I tend to have my bar ends more upright to get this hand poisition.
This one is not the most stable for steering but you can get by.

sh00k - they would look great offset against that white beauty you just got.
I got them from competitive cyclist and for me they are definitely worth the extra $.

If you tilted them down a bit. the middle position would be great for out of saddle efforts, climbing or sprinting, and the end position would allow resting forearms on the wide grip platform, sick for long pulls on level terrain at speed. Have you thought about tilting them a bit less? To hold the ends with forearms on grips would require a very different tilt. The higher the bar ends point up, the lower your elbows will be pointing down.

I have the same grips on my Kona hybrid but have them set only a few degrees from horizontal. This helps me get more aerodynamic and aids in comfort.

Thanks so much for these awesome shots! I'll be getting my bar ends next week, hope they fit with my handlebars etc. I can hardly wait. I am already pretending I have them when I climb a hill, imagining what it will be like to use them.
