Specialized makes a slick kickstand specifically for Crosstrails. Mounts to the chainstay in those two bolt holes that look like they serve no real purpose.

^ i have seen that kickstand on a pic here and i absolutely love it. i wonder if i can put it on my trek...

my current kickstand is way too long and i dont have the took to cut it down....

my first bike back in "85 had a kickstand then the 3 bikes I bought the next 3 years didn't.At the time I thought it was the cool thing to do,to not have a kick stand. Then last year when I finally got a hybrid it had a kickstand and I really appreciated it.I went and put one on my remaining bike that I bought back in the '80's
I doubt I'll be without one in the future.Besides the parking being easier,it saves the paint finish or a broken mirror from falling over because of a hasty park job
