DHDigital: That 7.5 looks phenomenal, just as good as Trek's glamour shot!

Stopped by the LBS this morning and ordered a 7.2 FX WSD for my wife now that it has the Alpha Black tapered frame. Also picked up some lights for her to match...

I was looking at the SSR's on the 7.6fx, they're 24/24 now apparently.

The Bontrager Race wheels have also been overhauled and look similar to the SSRs.

IIRC, the shop measured some at 220-230kgf in the back after I saw some tiny cracks by the rim holes. I'm glad Bontrager/Trek is moving on from the paired spoke design across the board.

I saw that too, but the materials the LBS had on hand showed it with the Alpha Black Aluminum, and the high-res pics on Trek's site show the Alpha Black logo on the chainstay:

I guess we'll find out for sure in a couple of weeks!

I am so pleased that Trek got rid of those awful low spoke wheels... I have seen nothing but problems with them and have sent folks to the local dealer to get their wheels exchanged (for conventional ones) under warranty.

Yes, the 7.2 WSD is listed as white aluminum. That bites! If that's the case, would she accept the 7.2 FX without the WSD?

https://www.trekbikes.com/us/en/bikes/bike_path/fx/72fx/

Someone should place an irate call to Trek. That's discrimination.
