first visit to hybrids
I didn't know there was a hybrid forum.I mostly hang out at c&v,over 50,and clydsdale forums.this is a pic. of my trek 7.5 fx.i changed the bars because the flat bars made my hands tied after so many miles. The Tiagra and Deore components linked to road bike tires make it a pretty good bike for fun and good speed on paved roads.

nice bike! im loving the handle bars. it looks like that bike is so comfortable to ride since you're so upright.

Right on about the front brake cable. It works ok but a little longer will be coming soon.I got the bars off Amazon. They were only about $6.They do make a big difference when riding .

Unless that picture is very deceptive, either your legs are about a foot long or that saddle may be MUCH too low. Beside making pedaling unnecessarily tiring this is also likely to lead to a blown knee. See eg https://www.sheldonbrown.com/saddles.html

I believe the FX series bikes are aimed at a more fitness profile style of bikes, hence the lower handlebars, nincev had closely tranformed it to a 7000 series, for comfort reason may be?

I never noticed my helmet in the pic.The butterfly is actually a thing my wife stuck in the planter by the garage.I did raise the bars for comfort reasons.
