Good 80mm fork?
I have a Trek Navigator. Because of an unexpeccted incident, I now need to buy a new fork & wheel. The bike came with a rigid fork.
Now, I would like to ride around on some easy trails (which may have small bumps here & there). I would like to buy a decent for with very little travel.
Can you recommend something for me? Used is ok. Does anyone make forks that are less than 100mm nowadays? Seems like every fork I look at are 100mm or more in travel. If I put on such a high fork, I'll end up popping wheelies each time I hammer the pedals in a seated position.

What year is your Navigator? Mine came with a suspension fork. I didn't know they came with a rigid.

Cain, I have a 2008. Rigid fork.
Ken, I'm hoping to spend around $75 - $150. I would prefer it to be used since I get more bang for my buck.

You are going to have a hard time finding a used fork with a long enough steerer tube, unless you've got a small frame. Those Navigators have mega-chonger supersized headtubes, IIRC. Check out a new Rock Shox Dart on Ebay.

Still kicking.
It's also going to be really hard since navigators use a threaded headset.

OP, perhaps a Trek dealer can locate an RST or similar fork with short travel, maybe even the OEM fork that supposedly (?) came on this bike.
Mountain bikes don't often use a short travel fork these days.
OP, would you like me to move this over to The HYBRID FORUM? https://www.bikeforums.net/hybrid-bicycles/ You may be able to get better help there.

How about a fork like the one on the Trek FX 7.3, with that elastomer jobbie on there???
I also like the "NEON" lockout fork on my '08 Specialized Crosstrail, and it's got a long steering head on it.
