Drop bar conversion in progress...need a stem...
I picked up a set of drop bars over the weekend...I was going for cheap...the cheapest I found online was around $35...got a set at a bike shop for $19..I have no idea exactly what they are...sticker says HB Felt Alloy
Anyone know what stem I will need? Bars themselves say 31.8mm 0d
I thought that was the width of the bars...could be wrong cause I'm new to bikes.

The bars are indeed 31,8mm so you need what is called an "oversized stem" which is basicly a stem that fits on 31,8mm.
If you say "conversion", I assume that you convert from a flatbar ... this mean you will have to also change the brakes and shifters.
Post us a picture when it's done
