Why is there no FX 7.4?
Am I the only one who thinks this seems odd? And no 7.8? Does someone at Trek take issue with the 4 times tables? If I take the parts off a 7.5 and add them to a 7.3....do I then get a 7.8?

It may be because of the Japanese market. The number 4 is bad luck in Japan, so many manufacturers avoid product numbers with 4 in it if they're sold in Japan. I don't know for sure that these bikes are sold there, but I see this all the time in consumer electronics. For example, Denon's A/V receiver model numbers went from 3803 to 3805. So, that's my guess.

Strictly speaking, Exit said add - not "replace". Although how the bike would handle with four wheels, two rear derailers, etc, I'm not sure. It'd be a trifle heavy, certainly...
