Do any of you use your "Flat Bar Road Bike" with a child seat?
I'm looking for a hybrid for use with a rear mounted child seat. I am a road rider and like to move fast and prefer a pretty aggressive posture (understanding that this is not my road bike and is to serve a different function) so I am looking for something on more of the performance side. I also want something that has the eyelets for the necessary racks and has a lower step-over height with longer chain/seat stays so it will position the seat further behind me.
I am looking at the Trek FX series, Specialized Sirrus and Marin Fairfax. Does anyone have direct experience using these bikes with child seats and/or trailers (part of my plan as well).

I don't use a child seat or a trailer. Performance hybrids will have eyelets but then I think road bikes in the same price class have them too, generally. Performance hybrids are very similar to road bikes in geometry as well so I don't think you gain anything there. You might want to consider touring bikes too as they generally have a longer wheelbase which should put the seat farther back. I would think that most of them are trailer friendly.
