2011 Giant Rapid 2 vs 2010 Cannondale Quick 3

Both about the same price.....Giant had a slightly better feel.....any reasons to pick one over the other?

I believe it is more about how the bike feels to you. If the Giant feels better, all things being equal,I guess I would go in that direction.

The Giant Rapid 2 will be faster than a Cannondale Quick 3 and generally has better components.

when i was shopping for my bike, i looked at these two bikes, but the price level down from what you're looking at. i found the rapid to be more like a road bike (faster, more agile feeling) and the quick to be more comfort oriented.

of course, it depends on how well the bikes fit you and what kind of riding you're intending to do.

i personally wanted something that would be fast and agile but i could put a rack on it for family outings and wouldn't cost so much that i wouldn't want to lock it up once in a while.

Thanks all........That is the feeling I had after riding both......that the Rapid felt faster and tighter. I will likely go to the Giant this week.

As I also have an old Marin MTB I currently use with semi-slicks, I will use that for the comfort rides.
