Last Sunday we got a foot os snow, this morning it was 14 degrees. The older I get the more I notice the cold. I could ride my bike two miles to the bus stop and then a couple of blocks to work. The bus ride is 50 minutes each way, and with all snow and crap that is thrown up onto the front of the bus, where my bike would placed I think my bike would be better of living the winter in basement.

I got studs this year. A few inches of snow, and the resulting ice in the days after have been a non issue.
Does the cold bother me? It did for the first few rides in freezing temps, but I sorted the appropriate layers of clothing out and I tend to be very comfortable.

Mine does not get put a way in the winter, rather it just moves inside. Last year, I bought a 1-ups trainer. Not as good as the road, but then I do not have to worry about the drivers.

Friday was stinkin' gorgeous weather here in Cleveland---well, at least for this time of year. Almost hit 60 balmy degrees...so I took my bike out for about 25 miles. Very rare for this time of year.

No winter riding for me. I might break out the beater bike at some point, but likely not. I have xc skis (havn't used them yet this year) and snowshoes that should arrive in the big brown truck today. I have a wind trainer, but as you know those suck. I have to break down and set up my mountain bike on it though. My hybrid wont fit securely on it (cheap trainer) so the MTB is going to go on.
