Anybody know this bike's identity? German Commuter Bike?

Hi There- anyone know the brand of the following bike? Bought it off a guy locally who has lots of bikes for sales- it appears German. It rides smooth! Tried a bunch of different bikes but this felt the best and right for me. Can't seem to locate any info on the bike. Here's the link or a picture attached: http://s762.photobucket.com/albums/x...urrent=005.jpg

Thanks for any input!!!

Looks like a late 90's model bike, by the brakes and handle bar stem. Does it have any markings on it ?

Yeah- it looks like CAT or CATO but its hard to tell. And the model # appears to be TRX-1. CrMo 930 tubing label and a sticker that says German designed I believe. The label on the front/head again looks like CAT or CATO and says
"the ultimate bicycles"-- I've googled left/right and every which way but cant seem to track it down. The tire/wheel size is a bit odd but common to Europe I understand---- 28 X 1.75
I think I found one other person who was searching for the same and he had MTB with a similar logo- but to no avail for him either. It's a rock solid/stable city/trek/cruiser type- but it would be nice to know the make/model/year if possible so I know what I am up against long term parts wise.

Thanks!

Also says ChrMo 4130 not sure if use of that alloy steel gives any indication of the year

I did not forget about you, just could not find anything on it. Did you try posting it on the Vintage and Classic form ?

If you do identify the bike, how will that help you 'know what you are up against long term parts wise'? It's not like you will suddenly have access to a large group of Cato owners' accumulated experience.

There are many bike brands, but the component makers are fewer and many bikes have the same parts. The maintenance/repairs on this bike shouldn't differ much from other bikes.
