Question Putting wider tires on a Fuji Aboslute 3.0?

Hey guys, I recently bought a Fuji Absolute 3.0 from Performance Bicycles and its great. The only problem is the wheels are a little thin for my city riding. I used to have a Trek 7.2 fx and that had 35c wheels. I was wondering if I would be able to put those tires on the Fuji. The specs of the rims on the Fuji are: Weinmann Double Wall Alloy, 36H. And the tires I want to fit on them are 700 x 35c tires.

I looked for info online about this and its sooo complicated. lol Maybe you guys can help me out?

G,day mate the tires will fit the rims but you need to worry about the tires fitting the frame.
You might be able to get an idea with a ruler by going 35mm from the top of rim towards the bottom bracket then 35mm across the top of rim to see if it fits in the frame stays.
When messuring the width you messure 35mm away from the top of rim then 35mm across. This will help give you a idea hope that helps.
