Which hybrids have bar ends?

Hi all,

I've recently caught the biking bug and want to purchase a bike (new or second hand), I mainly commute to work with occassional recreational riding so a hybrid would seem sensible but most of them seem to have flat handlebars. I realise bar ends were a bit of a 90s trend but I find them quite comfortable.

Are there any hybrid bikes around which come with bar ends, or maybe dropped handlebars?

Bar ends are an inexpensive 5 minute add-on to most flat bar handlebars, so I wouldn't make that the deciding factor on your purchase.

The Giant Rapid line come with flat bars and bar ends. Maybe others do also but the Rapids came immediately to mind. And the Rapid is one fine bike. But bar ends and handlebars are cheap so you could put them on any other hybrid with little problem and little expense. They do look better with flat bars though. I have never liked the aesthetics of bar ends attached to riser bars. Just looks goofy to me. But looks aren't everything and functionally they are fine on risers if you don't mind the look.

Ergon offers their excellent grips in a number of models that come with integrated barends. Personally, I'm a big fan of the GC3s.

Haha, another satisfied GC3 user here. Worthy upgrade even though a bit pricey.
