wheel for disc brakes

I'm interested in getting lighter wheels and tires for my Trek DS 8.3. It has disc brakes and I'm curious as to if I have to get special wheels or if any wheels can be used with disc brakes.

You must use wheels with disc compatible hubs.

You should be able to find something decent at your LBS. You might be able to get a 29" mountain bike wheel to work too.

I want 700c for the thinner tires I'm trying to put on. Any good recommendations on some light 700c wheels that are disc compatible and won't break the bank?
