Kona Hoo Ha
I have one of these and have never seen another. Anyone else familiar with this model? Thx.

I've never laid eyes on one, but a quick Google search reveals that this hybrid was made in 1999, 2000 and 2001. It was rated highly by its owners, who call it reliable, fast and fun. Its appearance and specs suggest it's a direct ancestor of Kona's current Dew series of very nice bikes.

You want to talk about a nice idea for a bike that's now gone, the Kona Smoke. It had 47mm tires and fenders to go with it.

These are sweet. Very light, small diameter butted alloy frame. Fairly rare n cool Shimano Nexave group that was specifically for hybrid bikes. *AND had a *Silent Clutch* rear hub that made no noise when coasting/freewheeling (opposite to Chris King hubs and the like) and also had a quicker pawl engagemnt than usual. HooHa was the top line hybrid at the time. |
