Anyone have experience with the TREK SOJO?

After my recent dealings with the Cannondale Dealership, we decide to open up the bike search again and tried the TREK store today. We liked the TREK SOJO the best among the TREK bikes we tried today. Anyone have experience with these and can compare to the the cannondale quick 5, Specialized Vita/ariel, Kona Dew Plus.

Of those the Cannondale or Kona would be my top two, although you can't go wrong with any of them.

Were you able to ride them all or just the Cannondale and Trek?

How come you didnt choose the Soho?

My niece tried the fx 7.2, lance armstrong stepthrough, and the soho. It wasnt even close, the soho was the choice from the trek dealer. It's $700 price tag is a stumbling block, even though its been marked down by $300 already. Is that Alfine gearing system reliable? Is it more to money to fix than a traditional derailer?

To the first responder, Yes, she is riding each of these bikes. I even ride the bike if they offer it in a size big enough to see if i can help with the experience. The kona seemed to ride really rough, you feel everything in the road. She liked the Ariel over the Vita at specialized because of comfort. That was until i had her ride both bikes again up an incline that lasted several city blocks and she quickly decided against a front fork. Since her revelation about the fork, we eliminated everything at Giant because all her choices there had fork. We might check out SCOTT and the sub 40 series (i think).

Cannondale has a bike she likes, the quick 5, but the ownership is a nightmare. change locations you say? Well we have 5 dealerships and all of them are owned by a pair of brothers. The Sopranos of bikes.. ugh.
