Truck bike rack

Hey everyone, how do you guys and gals transport your bikes from trail to trail? I need to think of a good option for me. There's buying a rack for the tow hitch which I like when I need the full truck bed. There's a bar with wheel locks that is removable which holds two bikes which I like. Mountable wheel locks you bolt directly on the bike. And there's also a bike tailgate pad, which holds up to 4 bikes with the front wheel hanging off the back of the bed. Which do you bikers like who have trucks. Thanks

I bought a 4 bike rack that slides in my receiver hitch. Seems ok so far. I had to get a 1 1/4 adaptor to mate up with the 2" bike hitch receiver which makes it a little sloppy fit. This causes the rack to "wiggle" alot when on a bumpy road but even with that little excess play, it works good.

I'm sure I'll do something different in the future, but for now I want to keep my bike in the truck. I shimmed up the 2x12 so it won't move at all, but can be pried out if needed. $25 and I'm good to go, since I had the board. Sits low enough I can drive under my carport. The bike doesn't move at all, and I can add 1 or 2 more later.

I was going to make up something for my Dodge Dakota's box as well, but we ended up selling it last month. So looks like I'm looking for a hitch mount myself now.

I like the idea with the wood brace.

Very nice! You should apply to go on the TV show 'Shark Tank' and get one of those guys to be your backer!
