2012 Trek 7.5 FX Price

Hello,

I'm still looking for a 2012 7.5 FX. I know they sell new for around $900 and $1,100 for disc brakes. I found one new for $800 at a LBS but didn't like the color and it was sold by the time I changed my mind (just because I can't find any). If I find a used one, what would be a fair price for a pad or disc brakes? Your thoughts please.

Thanks.

The going rate for lightly used bikes is 40-50% off MSRP. If you find one in mint condition I wouldn't hesitate to pay more than that though.

So, if I find a 2012 7.5 fx disc in mint condition, do you really think the seller will go for $550? I'm not sure about that.

I don't know what the disc version lists for but I got my used 2011 7.5FX (with V-Brakes) for $550 early this year with less than 200 miles on it. BTW, if you live in SoCal don't rule out the regular version with V-Brakes since it rains so little here.

The 7.5FX is very hard to come by in SoCal. I have 7.5FX 17.5" V brakes, that I bought earlier this year but it's small for me and I've been looking for a 20" for the past three month, none so far, disc or V brakes. Your price was good, but the disc run a bit higher, I think for about $150-200 more. I don't really need disc brakes as you said, I'm in SoCal, I just want to be prepared if I find one. I think the 7.5FX disc will sell used for about $650-700. I'll let you know when I find one.
Thanks.

I thought all 2012 Trek FX 7.5 bikes only came in one colour scheme anyways.

LBS here has new never been ridden 2012 Trek 7.5fx listed at $880. Is the upgraded trek 2014 better than the 2012 and worth the upgraded price too? Dunno. Satin grey is the color of the 2012. Thanks. Springfield Ohio.

There is a shop in Toledo that sells the 2014 FX 7.5 for $900.

It's very likely, that the 2012 has better componentry....................... that's one way the mfrs have maintained price points.
