My near mint condition 82 Schwinn World Sport...was about 1 size too small so I decided to make it fit...already had added the riser stem just got a longer seat post, Velo Orange Postino Handlebar, Velo City Brake levers which are fantastic and took my wife's saddle from her Schwinn Sporterra....think it matches nicely!

Shave a couple lbs off this tank... down to 29lbs but rides nicely!

Needs a Brooks saddle - the springy type - but looks good

I sure don't want too do that, but after riding the Kona this afternoon I surely noticed how much nicer my arse felt compared to that.....at the time I was just thinking I hadn't rode much lately. I do have a Persons Majestic that I may try though.

How do you like those handlebars? I am considering using them on a FX. I know I could do bar ends, but I like the concept of a more aero position. I read somewhere that those bars are wider than the average FX bars to allow room for shifters, etc. My LBS doesn't usually carry them but I'd like to see how they look before purchasing. Do you find them wider than normal?

they're cool. now I want those bar end like they have on the new 7.7 FX. I miss the cane creek bar ends that were originally on the bike. earlier in this thread that bike is shown with these handlebars and bar ends.
I ordered my bars from a shop online in Madison. they're pricey and so was that saddle. I'd like to get a carbon fork now.

Parts bin special. I have about €15 into this 1990 Koga Miyata Runner. A fun little project, just needs pedals and air!

I was going to sell my Tempo but decided to hybridized it this afternoon. It's been raining cats and dogs since Friday and finally quit a couple hrs ago. All parts bin and took the VO Postino handlebars from my World Sport. I think it will get some use now. Right at 25 lbs as it sits. I'll trim some cables later.

My brother has been using the World Sport and I just threw some black riser bars back on it and had already put on the Continental Double Fighters since he lives on a dirt road. He and his son love it!

My Trek Flat Bar. Was a USPS before I repainted and flat barred it.. Used 9spd bar end shifters with Paul's Thumbie mounts.

As I was scrolling down, before I got to the bike, I thought you were suggesting she had to make do with some old farm equipment.

With a better engine, this could go quite fast.

I agree. Since I moved back to Australia last year, I was pleasantly surprised that there has been an increase around my city. Admittedly most are Specialized here, but still great to see.
