New Ride for 2013 - Raleigh Misceo (2012)

http://www.raleighusa.com/archive/20...rid/misceo-12/

I picked up my Misceo the day before Christmas and so far I love it. The components are low-end all the way 'round but I'm okay with that. I haven't been a daily rider for about 10 years now, so I didn't want to spend too much on the bike. At less then $500.00, I think I did quite well.

Nice looking bike. I think the components are what you would expect on a $500 bike and many people here purchase bikes in this price range and have no problems with components. Who knows, in six months you may be looking at a road bike for N+1. Congrats on getting back into riding! I've appreciated the health benefits, both physical and stress related.

I like it a lot. Looks like the cannondale bad boy almost. I may have to look into getting one at that price tag. I've been looking for an extra bike for guests.

Components - yeah, like I said low-end. But I'm thinking I'm okay with that. If they last, then that's great. If they break, then I guess I get to "upgrade".

Fitness - once upon a time I was a daily rider and I'd very much like to get back to that. I've got about 30 extra pounds that need to go away.

Both my bikes have about the same type of componets and I've got 3000 trouble free on one bike and 1800 trouble free miles on the other so don't let the "componet snobs", get to you, ENJOY your new ride!

Nice Bike,

Did"t know you could get disc brakes on a bike less then $500. How do you like the brakes?
