looking for recommedations on flat pedals

Hi out there.I just picked up a new Giant Roam and I can tell I'll need to replace the stock pedals w/ a good flat pedal. I'm thinking $40 will do it. Any ideas? Thanx in advance.

Hi Slazz,
First of all, best of luck and enjoyment with your new bike. Here are several possibilities:
http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/115...ium-Pedals.htm

http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/115...uzu-Pedals.htm

http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/206...orm-Pedals.htm

http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/197...orm-Pedals.htm

http://www.pricepoint.com/detail/246...lat-Pedals.htm

http://www.amazon.com/Wellgo-LU-A52-...latform+pedals

http://www.amazon.com/Black-Ops-RIP-...ops+rip+n+grip - grip like crazy, but, of course, the "grip pins" will chew up your shins if you slip off at the right angle.

Best regards

I have Diamondback Sounds on one bike and Diamondback Bigfoots on another. Way less than $40 on Amazon, and they both work great.

I really like the better of the Wellgo BMX style 'pin platform pedals'. ones I have are a discontinued model, but they have plenty more.

look for a cro-mo spindle, sealed bearings, and a sturdy alloy pedal...

and yes, about $40.

Have these Diamondback Bigfoots. Love them! Plenty grippy and so far durable. Best part? $16!

Hi,

It's a 2012 Roam 1. Got it new for $512.00!!!! I'm pretty sure that's a good deal. I planned on replacing the saddle too but after a few laps I think the Velo one on it isn't all that bad. It's fairly cushionie and my manhood thanks me.
