Nice! Looks like you stuffed as much tire in that off-road setup as possible! How do you find the gearing off-road with the larger tires?

LET'S ROLL
Looks good, is that light running off of a dyno or batteries?

Njsteve, I am a fan. I almost bought a Misceo on CL before I got my Bad Boy, but the seller was too flaky. Wouldn't commit to a time to meet.
Anyway... I must say, Raleigh has some talented designers. Many of their new bikes catch my eye. (e.g. the new Tripper). I almost like the look of the Misceo better than my Bad Boy... almost...

The Misceo and the Bad Boy are my 2 favorites now. Strange thing is my LBS, a monstrous dealer, said sales of the Bad Boy were down. They didn't even order any this year. Considering they have 18,000 SF shop and 3,000 bikes in the wharehouse that says something.

Thanks all. Funny thing is the Bad Boy was my first choice. Came down to the difference of the price. Of course no one had a BB in stock. LBS had the Misceo coming in the next day I went out looking. Like the LBS the best out of the ten I visited. (did not know then that was a plus) I am happy with my choice. If I got the BB I don't think I would have upgraded as much I did. Also I don't think I could have fit the off road tires on the BB frame.
Next working on upgrading my fork. Would like to get a thinner fork for my road tires but having trouble finding one that has the same length.
Did purchase a new fork for the off road tires but have not install it yet.
Bought HYLIX Rigid MTB Carbon Fork-for MTB,Mountain bike/XC/Cx/29er-510g-Straight off Ebay.

You're right on that one. The original BB before the buyout by Dorel was a different animal than whats on the market today. I looked at the BB nyself before deciding to buy the Giant. The original BB was functionally a mtb bike - the BB on the market today is largely an exercise in urban image marketing.

So if all you're looking for is a hybrid to put road slicks on anyway - the BB has lots of style. I wanted more than that so went with a Giant Seek 1, which has similar styling, more chainstay clearance, was better speced, and has an anodized frame. Since we carry both in several versions in the store, I had the chance to size them up against each other and ..... the current BB isn't what it used to be.
Which isn't to say the Giant was everything I was looking for - it was just the closest to what I was looking for that I could find. And its since been discontinued.

Is that a 2 or 3? The Misceo 3 has the updated SRAM VIA group which is a 2 X 10.
Misceo 2

When I was researching tires some one suggested I call Raleigh tech line. They stated that 45 was the max. So that is what I went with. Not sure if there is any more clearence. I'll post a picture when I get a chance.
