Ragley Ti Build

I wanted a true dual purpose bike for riding paved trails and offroad.
I am also going to lace up some 650b wheels for offroad purposes, and swap between the two depending on the day's ride intent.
Let me know what you think!

18" Ragley Ti, built by the boys at Lynskey.
Niner Carbon Bars
Thomson 70mm Stem
Formula R1 Brakes
KCNC 160mm Rotors (front and rear)
Spinergy Xyclone Disc Wheels
Shimano XTR Shifters
XTR Front Derailleur
XT 11-36 Cassette
XT Shadow Plus Rear Derailleur (with clutch)
Fizik Aliante Carbon Kium Saddle
Lynskey Seatpost
Jagwire Ripcord Cables
Niner Carbon Front Fork
FSA Headset
White Industries Double Crank - 44/30T Gearing

Great job! It must be very rewarding to build a custom bike. It's got me thinking about putting together one of my own.

Always love seeing a high end hybrid build. Your the first person I've seen use Spinergy wheels, I used them too and really happy with them.
I even looked at getting one of those Ragely frames from the UK but it was to hard for me to import one and the carbon fork. So you kind of built a bike I was dreaming about at one stage

I just hope you bank account wasn't hurt to hard but if lasts you 10 or more years then its worth it, the frame will last 50!

I spent a lot of time looking at this thread before I started buying parts:
https://www.bikeforums.net/showthread...ighlight=xpedo

This build is a bit heavier than what you achieved, but I am quite satisfied with the weight, ride characteristics, and performance of the bike.

I am really liking the Spinergy wheels a lot. Spin well, fairly light, solid, and quite comfortable for the type of trails I ride.

Thanks for the inspiration. I am quite happy I finally took the plunge and built the bike.
It is nice to know every detail of the bike every time I swing a leg over the saddle and head out on a ride.

No wonder it appealed so much to me then! Mine got a little heavier after I changed and added some components over time. Also got a creaking sound in the front wheel if I did a standing sprint using 23mm tires but it's no big deal, I'm hooked on Spinergy wheels.
I also use the wheels on my 29er mtb I think there bullet proof. Is that a different front fork in the first two pic's? It looks shorter.

Yes.
That is a Lynskey cyclocross fork with a tapered steerer I was using to mock up the bike while I waited for the back-ordered niner fork to get here.

I am running 700cx28 on the spinergy wheels without problems... Well, aside from blowing out two tubes in the first 48 hours. Both at the seams... Could have been pinched, or just from a bad batch.
Who knows.

I am hoping spinergy releases their 650b wheels soon, as I would like a set to put MTB tires on, and swap out on this bike.
That will make it a true dual purpose bike!
