    Tire Size - Trek 7.4 FX

    I about due for a new set of tires for my Trek 7.4 FX and I was wondering if I could go with 28 mm tires on the stock rims rather than the 32 mm tires.

    Definitely. Just went to 28mm on my 7.2fx.

    For future reference:

    Somewhere on the rim there should be a sticker that gives the width(usually something like 622xnn). Compare to the above chart for tire range. Note,this is for the rim only,actual widest you can go will depend on frame/fork clearance.
