Cycle Force Tour de France Prologue Elite 17.5" Hybrid Bike reviews
Hi,
I am M, 29, 69kg & 5ft10inches tall. I'm searching online for a hybrid bike that I can use to commute to work (<1mile/daily) and also take it on the trail close to my apartment (mostly paved). My final budget including shipping/taxes was $350. I found Cycle Force Tour De France Prologue Elite 17.5" to be a good bike for my height and needs. Online reviews have been rather friendly for this bike. Yes, some of them have mentioned screwing up while assembling the bike and had to tune-it up later. There are some cheaper options online but I plan to buy it from Sport Authority (https://www.sportsauthority.com/produ...=prologue&sr=1 : $350 after tax). The local SpAuth store said they'll assemble and tune it up for free if I purchase it from SpAuth and bring in my receipt.
I did look up BikesDirect/Walmart/Sears but this bike appeals to me the most. I was wondering if the more experienced members of the community can share their comments about this choice.
Thanks!
Mike

Have you been able to lay your hands on it/throw a leg over it? If not, I'd be checking out the return policy before ordering.
Also, having followed that link, I'm kinda thinking the info has to erroneous. Has a double crank and yet somehow claims to have 26 speeds?

If you can afford it I would suggest spend about 100 bucks more and getting something like this form your local bike store.
