Wink 2nd ride today on my mew Trek 7.4FX

Other than being pretty stoked about having a new bike I'm not really sure why I'm posting this but what the hell...

I just got back from an 18mile round trip to the beach and couldn't be happier. It's amazing how light it is and how fast you can accelerate. I have the next 4 days off so I'm planning on being out on it every morning.

I moved up from a Specialized Globe comfort bike and the difference is stunning

Please tell me you picked up the 2014 in the goldish/copper color....then please tell me you'll post a pic soon. I am dying to see that color in a real world setting. The website just doesn't do it justice.

BTW - if it's a 2013, still post a pic....gotta love the FX series!

I built a set of Sun Rims M13 II's for my Globe and with 26mm tires, the difference is even more stunning.

side_FX: Nope, just the 2013 grey model they have at their site. The shop I bought it from had red accents on it (pedals, cable nipples etc) and it looks pretty nice. I do want to take the chain guard off though.

Sounds great! I just couldn't get past how much it weighed. The slightest hill would just crush me.
