Does it really matter what it is? If you enjoy riding it then it's simply your bike. Debating over a category on these forums always proves useless in my humble opinion. The category is wide and unclear.

yeah sure. looks like a Trek FX and I think they are referred to as hybrids

I've seen some rigid ht mtbikes that looked more like hybrids to me. Then again, I've seen some hybrids with front suspensions, that looked more like mtbikes. So go figure!

The lines between hybrid, mountain and road bikes seem to be getting a little blurry in some cases. I've seen bikes that looked like hybrids to me but some were mountain bikes with skinny tires and some were flat bar road bikes. To avoid further confusion I just started calling them "bicycles".

More so once you consider how much variation there is for hybrid bikes.
