Rigid fork options on specialised cross trail elite disc

I read that a popular fork for people wanting to go rigid on their crosstrails is the kona project 2.
I have just bought a pair from fleabay and am going to convert front brake to cantilever to suit fork. I have noticed however that the steerer is threaded! Can I use threaded steerer on my clamp style stock set up?

No. You cannot use a threaded fork with a threadless headset. Back in the day, riders would grind the threads off shimano headsets to use them with threadless setups, but you cannot go the other way

You can get a threaded headset and stem but I would just get the right fork. And I wouldnt go rim brakes from discs. If anything, I would go hydro over cable

700c, 1 1/8" threadless, disc, suspension adjusted P2 is what you want. Does your current wheelset have rim braking tracks?

Pretty sure my old '06 or '07 Crosstrail had disc rims. Also note, was this a new or used fork? If used, make certain there is enough steerer tube for your setup.
