Hello. I'm looking for some stealthy looking /if it make sense lol/ fenders for my 2011 Specialized crosstrail with rim brakes. I run 700x28.
I rode over 100 miles last year in a pouring rain and it wasn't fun lol
Plastic is fine, black wanted and something simple in the shape of the tire...no flaps. Planet bike have couple that may work, but they are not available at my local stores, so no way to check it if they fit right, and if I like the look. Fenders Full hybrid/touring

Anyone here with Crosstrail who have any good or bad experience with fenders? Pics?

I also like that idea, and it may work pretty good keeping me dry, but not necessarily keeping my bike clean.

My Crosstrail wears Planet Bike Hardcore, Hybrid fenders. I roll 35s and 40s, and they fit. Just barely with the 40s, but they look good doing it. Since my bike is black, they look OEM matched. No rattles or problems of any kind.

These look nice and would probably be stronger than plastic. I have not seen these in person though.

Will check it, but they may be just too wide for 28mm. I like the "OEM" look you getting with these.
What 40 tire you use that fills them up? I may compare it to the ones I have. Some 28mm may be actually 32, and 40mm can be actually 35mm and so on.

That is exactly what I don't want lol I used to have very similar ones in 80's. I think these will look very cool on an older, vintage bike.

Schwalbe Marathon Supremes for both sizes. And, they measure almost exactly that

My Vittoria Rubinos 28mm is exactly 28mm on my oversized 24mm width Velocity Dyad rim. It's 26.5/27 on a regular rim.
