That's great,
In case you haven't figured it out yet, I didn't post this thread to satisfy YOUR view and the possible perspectives that YOU feel are sufficient. I posted this post to satisfy MY needs, not yours.
Therefore I will keep the thread rolling until I FEEL I have all the perspectives I need, and therefore YOUR OPINION regarding whether you think I have enough responses is NOT RELEVANT TO ME.

OK,
This is what happened......................
I met the guy at the LBS where he purchased the bike. They verified purchase date of 4/16/2013. They also did a 15 min inspection on the bike and said it was in mint condition. The bike didn't have 1 chip or crack on it and had less than 100 miles.
The bike also came with upgrades: adjustable angle stem, carbon water bottle cage, air adjusting seat post, Bontrager 1.1 node computer and speed trap, upgraded pedals, a front (real brite) and flashing rear light and a side mirror that can move and swivel different directions.
He bought all the upgrades at the lbs where we met and showed me every item in the store that was now on the bike. The total was about $300 in upgrades.
I was NOT able to change the frame warranty from his name to mine however.
I got the 2013 Trek FX 7.7 plus all the upgrades for $900 cash.
How do you think I did?

That stem is a $60 adjustable angle stem and that seat post is designed to provide a more comfortable ride and cost another $60.
Thanks for your opinion, but I think it is just fine the way it is.

I agree completely. It makes no sense to replace those components just to be able to say it's factory original. If will ride the way you want it to then change nothing. As long as 60cm fits you got a heck of a deal.

I agree 100% The angle stem is an upgrade, takes nothing away from functionality, but provides versatility. The same is true for the seat post.
