Hybrid Electronic Bike of the Future!

Who wants in?

I realize they are talking about hybrid meaning having a motor but I thought this would be a fun place for this video.

Interesting. Its an $800 wheel but you would only need a $500 bike for that.

Old news, though interesting.
Good reference to the term 'hybrid', though; in Germany the term is specifically used with reference to motorized/electric assist bicycles.

Not too sure if I would be interested in electrics. I want to keep it simple and not having to recharge it every day.

Same here in Japan. Our bikes are refered to cross bikes here, not to be confused with cyclocross bikes.
My friend has a elecrtic MTB. Not a clear photo by any means but it's produced by Panasonic and and has carbon fiber casing around the motor / battery pack. Ignore the Stork logo on the hea tube. That's his joke.

Might as well just go buy Ducati rocket and get it over with.
Kind of takes the point out of pedal power.

This is a pretty exciting development.

Not so much for me now, but perhaps in 15 years time when not only will the product be much improved, I probably could do with the boost by then. :roflmao2:

It's a godsend for those needing assistance to ride. Cycle assist bicycles have a huge market here. They don't make you any faster, they just assist the push. There are many of them here.

I like to see all the ideas people come up with with pedal assisted bikes. I saw this Specialized Turbo at a recent bike show, disregarding the price  it's a fantastic bike.

Check it out yourself. >Link https://www.google.com.au/url?sa=t&r...64507335,d.dGI
