At the speed of Lite........

So here's my latest build. The platform is a Litespeed T7 3-2.5 Titanium frame. It weighs in at 16.8 lbs. I expect that to go down a little when I replace the seatpost.

I took it for a quick ride after building it up to make sure everything was working properly and this thing really flies and it stops on a dime!

Here is a list of the components:

Mavic Ksyrium SL wheelset
Conti 4000S II 25c tires
FSA UD carbon Team Issue crankset with Rotor Q Rings 38T chainring
Wheels Manufacturing PF30 to 24mm bottom bracket
Ritchey Pro UD carbon fork
Ritchey WCS UD carbon stem
Ritchey Superlogic UD carbon riser bar-Will be replacing with a flatabr soon
XT shifter
XT rear derailleur
XT SPD pedals
XT 11-34t cassette
Dura Ace chain
Dura Ace calipers
SRAM short pull flatbar brake levers
SRAM locking foam contour grips
Oval Concepts seatpost-Will be replacing with a Ritchey UD carbon soon
Specialized BG Riva saddle

Sorry for the quick and dirty photos. I'll try and take some better ones tomorrow after my ride.

Let me know what you think!

I dissed on your Merlin conversion, mm, but this one ... mwaaaah!! It's the aesthetics, and compact geometry (sloping t/t) ... just works.
The Merlin? Still fugly imho;)

Well done. It's a very nice looking bike!

Thanks guys!

Unfortunately, I ran into a little problem with this frame. I started this thread after building the bike on Friday night after buying it locally on Craig's List. I actually bought the frame and built it thinking it was going to be my "go fast" hybrid bike for rail trails and fitness rides. I went for a ride with a buddy on Saturday and the bike rode beautifully but something didn't seem quite right in the sizing department. About midway through the ride I asked my friend if he would take a photo of me riding it so I could see if it looked a little small.

Here is that photo.....

http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/f...psd1f857bd.jpg

So when I returned home I started doing some research to see what was going on with the sizing. The seller seemed like a good guy with no reason to lie about the size (stated 56cm) and the frame is stamped "ML" (medium large in Litespeed speak) so I checked the geometry on the Litespeed site to see what it said. As the seller stated a medium large from Litespeed is supposed to have a 56cm top tube and a 51.5 seat tube. So out came the tape measure to verify and guess what? The top tube measures 54cm. The strange thing is the seat tube is the correct size. So I put in a call to Litespeed today and asked if they measured the top tube center to center or....? They told me they did indeed measure it that way which prompted me to ask if it were possible that somehow the bike was manufactured incorrectly. The tech support guy asked me to take a photo of the tape measure on the frame to verify I measured correctly. So I took a few photos and sent them along to him. So we'll see how this goes.

In the meantime, check out what I did with the components I used on the Litespeed! :D

Couldn't you just replace the stem with a longer one? It wouldn't have looked out of place considering how long pros have it on their road bikes.

Im not sure. As noted in a post above, the bike is too small for me so I'm not riding it. I bought anther frame and transferred most of the components to that. I then build the Litespeed up at a dropbar roadbike and it's listed on my local CL for sale.
